Gone

It has been a wonderful nearly ten years, just having you in the family.

I will miss you. Coming back home and not seeing you will be weird.

A good friend, companion, house guard, father.

Rest in peace. Love you always!

Him

The time has finally come for him to go for it. I cant believe time flew and I never imagined the day would finally arrive!

For the few weeks to come, I would :
~ Miss talking to him on MSN
~ Miss complaining to him
~ Miss grumbling to him
~ Miss gossiping with him. XD
~ Lose an extra set of hands to help me shift my stuff out of the apartment after the finals.
~ Have one less person to talk to in MSN
~ Miss him a lot! [What? I feel that way.]

Its true that we did not see eye-to-eye when we were young and we resorted to fighting, shouting, throwing punches..and ended up being caned [you know the 'rotan'?] and scolded by our parents. Even before I entered uni, I find him very irritating and annoying [till now he still is sometimes]. True, we have our differences but we are siblings. And siblings STICK TOGETHER! Hmm, thats why we always team up to bully our younger sister. Muahahaha!

All the best in KK [not Kota Kinabalu la. Its just Kuala Kangsar! LOL] camp!

P/S : Ah, I'm crapping, I know. This is what caffeine does to me: I tend to say some nonsense stuff! LOL. Another round of sleepless night, anyone?

Joke for the Day

Three men died and arrived at the Gates of Heaven. St Peter was the guard of the Gates, and he said to them, "Tell me how you died and I shall determine whether you are worthy to go to Heaven."

The first guy said :
I came home and found a pair of shoes that do not belong to me or even my wife in my house. Thus, I deduced that my wife was having an affair and I searched the whole house for that man. I couldnt find him, and out of frustration, I threw the fridge out of the balcony. Then I died of heart attack because of my frustration.
St Peter said :
Oh, such a sad story. Ok. You may go to Heaven.
The first man walked through. St Peter turned to the second man and said:
What is your side of the story?
The second man said :
I was exercising on my balcony at the very top floor of the condominium. Somehow I slipped and fell from the balcony, but I managed to hold on to the balcony directly below mine. I was hanging there and I tried to scream for help. Before I could do so, someone stepped on my fingers and I fell, along with a fridge.
St Peter said :
Oh, such a sad story. You may go to Heaven.
The second man walked through the Gates. For the last man, St Peter asked the same question and the man replied :
I was in the fridge.

IET BBQ Night Out 2009

What a fun, wonderful, successful and most importantly, fine weather night tonight.

Tonight was the IET's BBQ Night Out, and yours truly is part of the organizing committee. XD

When S and I took up the job, we were clueless of where to start. The President has high expectations on us. He gave his order : Make this year's BBQ informal and casual, and different from previous years.

We definitely needed help from other people. After asking our friends and people around, we finally managed to recruit VJ and P. We had meetings - brainstormed, search for caterers, list of things to buy and of course trying to keep within the TIGHT budget.

After a couple of weeks of preparations, we finalized everything - food, tables, chairs, canopy etc etc. And tonight is the night!

I went to the venue after my class and was the 1st person to arrive there. I was in charge, since S had his lab at that time. Another fella, V came by and helped out, giving me opinions and telling me to CHILL! Seriously needed to. LOL

The students arrived later than Dr V, who came early for a change, but nevertheless, the night kicked off with the students helping themselves to the catered food. The other IET committee members dealt with the BBQ pit and got the fire burning.

A group of PPOU students attended and I was touched coz they actually were very interested with the event. At the very last minute, I managed to get tickets for all 13 of them! What a turnout! Still, I was quite happy to see at least one guy, who happens to be my bro's ex-classmate. Such a small world huh? XD

I really thank God for such a fine-weather night. If its not for Him, it might not have be that smooth if black clouds appear in the sky. I was happy also that my friends came. Seeing familiar faces in the crowd really made me happy and I was touched for they came and supported the event I am co-organising. I also would like to thank those who have helped out and their commitment. The President even said : "I feel like crying" at the end of his speech. LOL

After this event, I have to think of another event to organise before the next AGM in August. Ah...still a long way to go...!
