KIds Say the Darndest Things

My sis is 8 years old. Next year she will be in Standard 3. For most kids at her age, all they know are watch cartoons or play with their toys. My sister is different from the rest of them.

At the age of 8, she:
~ Knows how to go online and play online games, which is about Barbie most of the time.
~ Knows how to use bombastic English words when she's talking to me, or in her case, when retorting whenever she's being teased/bullied.
E.g : "How dare you", "Dont give up"
Seriously, how many 8-year-old kids knows how to say those sentences?
~ Plays with dogs and is not afraid of them. [I'm not sure bout other kids but I dun think 8-year-old kids even dare to go near dogs.]
~ Loves to read storybooks. Once when she's reading out loud to my mum, she could pronounce the word "dungeon", to my mum's enormous surprise. When asked whether she knows the meaning to the word, she said yes and proceeded to tell the meaning.[which I have forgotten what she said.]
~ Has an MSN account which I created for her a few weeks ago and she happily added my cousin sisters and she talks to me when I am busy, which irritates me at times.
~ Knows how to access here through the link I gave her in MSN

She read through my blog and she came across this post. This is what she has to say :
Jen Nee says (6:07 PM):
u said at the blog take a look at two guys. Don"t they look a teensy-weensy bit similar? *drool* THEY ARE NOT CUTE OK
I almost got a heart attack!! I mean seriously. Never did I expected her to reply me in such a manner. I clutched my chest and gasped for air because of the shock. If I have been sitting on a chair, I would have fallen off it, but no, I was sitting on the floor. After that, I started laughing and I even pasted that part for my brother to read, which I think he laughed his ass off.
Till now, I still could not believe it. *shakes head*

And her name is Yim Jen Nee.

~ She's 6 years old in this photo, showing off the pearl necklace she "inherited" from my Mum xP ~

~ After her Hari Anugerah 2008. She got a prize for getting 5A's in her final exams. ~

Tragedies

Been following the news lately and read about the tragedies that happened. Coincidentally, today is the 15th anniversary of the day where Block One of Highland Towers collapsed in 1993, killing 48 people in total. Now, a similar tragedy happened in Bukit Antarabangsa.

I feel kinda sad when tragedies occur and lives are claimed.

When oh when would the developers pay more attention to the safety of the residents on a hillside during construction instead of thinking of making as much profit as possible?

*
I was in Midvalley on Sunday since it was quite boring in the apartment and due to the many numbers of public holidays this month. So a friend and I decided to do some CNY shopping. The mall was crowded with people doing their Christmas/CNY shopping in one shot. The only place I was longing to get to was the MPH. I was planning to get the set of Twilight books. Since I could not find them anywhere in the huge bookstore [also a bit lazy to look around for it =p], the best way was to go to the Enquiry Desk and ask for its location. The response I got was:

Twilight? Sudah habis
Oh my goodness! T.T Guess have to wait for the excitement of the Twilight movie to die down and then try getting my hands on the books. :D

*

On another note, gonna be busy for two days. I hope to have the strength to endure all the setbacks and unexpected twist of events. Also, I hope things will go well and end well.

Musical Movies

Musical movies. How I love them. They have such nice songs in the movie and the actors and actresses could break into songs even though they are in a conversation. Sometimes it makes me wonder how would they be able to do that if they are in real life. Haha..Can you imagine each one of us start singing songs relating to whatever we are talking with our friends, right there on the spot? Makes me wonder.

Here are some of the musical movies that I have watched.

Starting of the list is Mamma Mia. This movie is based on the songs of ABBA.

Next movie is the one we are all familiar and crazy about - High School Musical. The recent one is the 3rd installment - High School Musical 3 : Senior Year. They have great songs for this movie and I kinda got addicted to them. XD

Another nice movie that I managed to watch was Camp Rock. I did not know the movie was on Disney Channel till my 8-year-old sister told me about it. Since I've heard about it before, I havent actually watched it. Hence, I joined my sister and I gotta say, I really enjoyed it. Joe Jonas from The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are among the stars in this movie.

Times Square

Final exams are finally over for this sem, with Moral paper being the final paper. What a relief! And now its finally time for the holidays to start. Whee!!

The plans for an outing before my friends and I part ways for the hols? During the exam period, we sat down during lunch and actually came up with some suggestions. After discussing, we finally came up with two plans :

~ Plan A : Go to FRIM in the morning and walk in the jungle. In the afternoon, go for a movie.
~ Plan B : If it somehow rains today, go to Times Square and have fun.

Today, I woke up early and I was staring at the laptop screen as usual, when Kelv and Eng Hong came online. At that time it as already 8am, but still they havent made their move out of their house. Weird! Then suddenly, I was told of the change of plans : Execute Plan B since it rained the night before. Haha

Eng Hong, Willz, Adrian and I went to Times Square via public transport and met up with Yap and Kelv there. We went for the amusement park and had a great time being dizzy. LOL...I know, with the heart condition of mine, I am not up for the roller coaster, tomahawk thing and also the DNA mixer. Just the sight of them made me sick to the stomach. LOL

Then we went to Sushi King for lunch and went for a movie - Quantum of Solace, the latest James Bond movie.

As for dinner, we went to KFC, where we reminisced on our journey in UNITEN so far. A lot of funny, happy, sad, stressful things were mentioned. We couldnt stop laughing to the funny stuff and I think all of us will remember them for a long time. Its a good thing to see us sitting down, talking and laughing. To me, they are part of my 2nd family here. They are the closest people I know. The journey may not have been a smooth one during this semester, with its ups and downs and rough patches here and there, but I guess things work out for the best in the end.

As we parted ways by the end of the day, I couldnt help but feel a bit nostalgic. A part of me wish that the day will continue forever and the 'magic' will not fade, but I guess that is just wishful thinking. Haha

To the guys : Thanks for the great day! I really enjoyed the day with you guys! Happy Holidays!

To those who are still having final exams, I wish you all Good Luck!

Characters

While watching animes, I tend to notice the cute guys in the story. Of course, people notice all the beautiful and pretty things around them. So I am of no exception. Haha

The anime I am currently following besides Gundam00 is Special A. At first, when I heard of the title, I was wondering what kind of plot the anime has. However, once I started watching, i got hooked and i have to tear myself away from the laptop! At the same time, I could hear the small voice inside my head screaming "Its finals!!!!!"

One thing that got me so addicted to the show is that one of the characters in the anime is voiced by Jun Fukuyama, who so happened to voice the character Lelouch in Code Geass!! I was happy and excited because I really miss Code Geass and Lelouch. Ok, in this case, his voice. LOL

I really do admire Jun Fukuyama. Despite having a voice that sounds so cold, he also voiced the character Watanuki in xxxHolic. Wow, I have never thought it was him because Watanuki sounds so different in the anime...sort of high-pitched. Haha...Can I conclude he's a talented voice actor? XD

Take a look at the two guys below. Don't they look a teensy-weensy bit similar? *drool*

Below : Lelouch from Code Geass

Perfect?

We all make mistakes. It takes a lot of courage to own up for whatever we did to someone even though we are aware of the consequences. We lie to cover up our tracks, hoping that the person concerned will not know. During the process, we come up with more lies in order to cover for the lies that we told, but at some point, we do get tired of trying to think of lies to tell to hide what we did. The thing is, the truth surfaces at one point, and at that time, we do not have a choice but to 'fess up, even though it hurts the other person and risking everything including our friendship with that person.

Nobody is perfect. We all have our own flaws. Whenever we find that someone does something wrong to us and that person owns up and apologizes, some of us may find it hard to forgive that person. We feel our anger seeping through our veins, controlling our mind and then, we say things that we do not wish to say - harsh and horrible words start coming out of our mouths before we realize it. After a while, we cool down and start to think things over. We consider whether that person is deemed to be worthy of forgiveness. We consider the seriousness of the person's mistake. All these factors will help us to decide whether to forgive him/her. We have to bear in mind that all of us make mistakes and including that person. Hence, if the mistake is not that serious, we should give a chance to the person to change and to become a better person. In other words, we forgive the person and put in an advice or two to help he/she to become a better person and also a better friend.

Forgive and forget. Do not hold grudges against people. Its tiring! LOL

E2 Test

After days and nights of studying, preparing, sleeping and waking up, having weird dreams during the night before the test, it was finally time to face, what I could say, the crappiest test I ever faced!

First of all, why would I say the test is crappy? When our lecturer, Encik Abu Bakar told us that there would be 15 questions in the test, all of us were stunned. Total silence, as though an angel had passed by. I was about to vomit blood when I heard him said that. LOL...He continued, saying that we need to choose to do 2 questions out of 3. Basically, we have to choose to do questions on 2 chapters, with each chapter having 5 questions. So in total, we have to answer 10 questions, which is equivalent to 10 marks each and IF we were to answer more than 10 questions, we will be PENALISED!

Yesterday was the test and boy, he did remind us that marks will be DEDUCTED if we answer more than 2 questions. =.=''' What made me felt so dishearten bout the whole test was my lecturer wasnt being strict at all during the entire test. You see, we had our test in one of the big lecture rooms and since there were many of us, we had to sit side by side. Yeah, increase the chance of copying for some people. [Geez!] Even though there were some students DISCUSSING behind me, he din take any action at all. Soon, the noise began to get slightly a bit louder and yet he did not warn us about the consequences of cheating. WTF? To my left, two girls were discussing how to do. So tell me, what is the meaning of the test if people start asking around how to do, or rather they just look at their neighbours' solutions and just copy? *shakes head*

Sometimes I wonder, what do we actually gain from copying other people. Ok fine, you copy during test [like yesterday] and bloody hell, you cant do that in the final exam. So no matter what, its all up to you to solve the questions during the final exams. On your own! So why not study and prepare for the test? That way you will know where your strength and weaknesses. At least you know you have achieved something through your hard work and not by some dirty method, like copying. It disgusts me when I see people do that. Read my lips : It. Disgusts. Me.

To me, there's no point in copying. Its either I know or I do not know the answer. To me, people who copy are those who have low self-confidence. To me, people who copy are those who want the easy way out.

Some people can really be DESPERATE sometimes.

Desperados. Geez!

P.s : If anyone of you who are reading this feel insulted, I'm not sorry. Hah!

Uneasiness

What is this feeling i have been having since yesterday? The sense of uneasiness, the sense of fear. Is something bad gonna happen? I must be crazy thinking i could predict the future. But still, its nerve-wrecking having that kind of feeling.

Maybe its the upcoming test that is the cause of all this. Maybe, just maybe. It might be other stuff that are causing it.

Wish I could shake it off. Convince myself that I am just thinking too much.

Animes

Code Geass

With Code Geass : Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 done, the next most anticipated anime is Gundam00. After watching the 1st episode of season 2 which totally blew me away, it leaves me waiting in suspense and craving for the next episode to be released.

At first, i wasnt that interested in watching the Gundam series. I thought that its all about fighting with mobile suits and declaring war. That was then when my bro asked me to watch Gundam00 and he let me judge how good it was. Needless to say, i soon got hooked when i finished the 1st season of Gundam00. I then proceeded into watching Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny, which are the older series of Gundam. The plots amazed me and I soon find out that its not all about fighting after all! ^^

Tears

I am easily moved to tears. Whenever I am watching a sad movie, scenes where the characters died, listening to the song inserted with it that sounded so sad, or even sometimes watching the characters on-screen in tears, the tears would start without me realizing.

It's always sad to see the characters whom you love [especially the good-looking ones =p] from the beginning of the show died somewhere along the series. It's beyond our expectations. Then we start asking ourselves : Why oh why does it happen to him/her?

*staring into space* Guess its just me.

Article

I was reading through The Star newspaper one day when i came across this article. Beautifully written.

WEDDING vows, especially that part about ‘Til Death Do Us Part, are serious vows of devotion we make to the person we want to spend the rest of our lives with.

At first glance, it looks like we are exchanging words of undying love but upon further examination, we might see that it carries a lot more significance than that.

We are pledging our love and loyalty not only to our spouses but also to the in-laws and even favourite restaurants and holiday destinations.

Many would say that when we marry our soul mates, we marry their entire family; along with their likes and dislikes, habits and preferences and thoughts and opinions.

Choosing a life partner is not as easy as it sounds. It is little wonder that some couples try to delay making the final commitment, preferring to instead date for long periods of time.

The idea of taking on such a huge responsibility can seem terribly daunting and we could be simply better off co-habiting and producing offspring without ever putting pen to paper a la Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Previously, marriage was almost compulsory in many cultures. If a girl was not betrothed by the age of 25, she would be deemed highly unfavourable. Most men, however, are eligible at any age as long as they can provide for a family.

It may seem like a double-standard today but it was the norm when our grandparents were children.

As we entered the 21st century, it became more socially acceptable to choose to never marry. Some couples think it unnecessary to tie the knot as a piece of paper makes little difference to their love and commitment to each other.

However, no matter how open-minded we like to think we are, there is still pressure to set a wedding date if a couple has been going out for many years or if age is catching up.

When I was a teenager, the questions at family gatherings were “So how is school?” Once I graduated they became “How is work going?” followed by “Where is your boyfriend?” or “Are you dating anyone?”

When we were young, we are mostly judged or measured by the grades we received in school. As we enter the workforce, our salaries and positions are details that impress.

Strangely enough, as we grow older, our grades in school or the money we rake in pale in comparison to the all-consuming matter of marriage.

“So, when are you getting married?” is one of the most common questions one will receive between the ages of 25 and 40.

In the Chinese culture, many parents’ greatest fear is that their sons or daughters never meet the love of their life, choose never to settle down or, if they do, marry someone highly unsuitable.

There is still pressure to marry and to marry well. If we have met the “right” person, then the pressure will be more of a pleasure. If we haven’t, well, we have to think up a list of good, witty answers to field off the barrage of questions.

Unfortunately it gets worse, as meeting the person of our dreams will fast turn into a nightmare if we don’t get along with the family.

Many would claim that finding the person of their dreams is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Add the in-laws into the equation and it sounds like a near impossible feat.

How is it then that we see so many couples contentedly married and going on holidays with their in-laws?

A friend said the secret was to let her mother-in-law do what she pleased.

“After she leaves, I would just put things back the way they were and go back to cooking the food that I prefer to eat. It is much easier than fighting with her about everything and losing more than just the argument.” she said.

I am not married, yet I think that as anyone who has had a relationship would know that a good relationship with our partner is more than just luck and chemistry. Similarly, a close bond with our in-laws must be constantly cultivated over time.

We may want many things in life to secure our happiness, but really, all we need is love, fresh air and understanding in-laws.

The Day I Turned 20

Yesterday was the day i crossed over to the World of Twenties. lol..Received wishes from friends, comments in both friendster and facebook, sms-es, calls [from my Mum, Anita and Yuin]...Just wanna say Thank you to all who wished me. I really appreciate it. =D

Something unexpected happened yesterday as well. After the lunch in Pizza Hut on Wednesday, i thought that was it. After all my friends did celebrate with me, so I seriously did not expect them to treat me to lunch/dinner again, since all of us were stressing over Electronics 2 paper which was on today. I was also stressed about the test and hence,i skipped Techflow's weekly gathering to spend some quality time with my book and a stack of papers. lol..

But then, things happen when u least expect. After Thermo class was dismissed, i was still in my seat when suddenly Kelveen tapped me on the shoulder. I turned to him [he was sitting on my left] and he passed me:
....a bag from Scorpion Silver.

Yeah..i was shocked. I opened the bag and took out.........

....this.
I started smiling.

"Its a watch isnt it?" I asked, judging from the size of the box.

" Open it first," said William.

I proceeded to open and William said "Guys, she's opening it."

I opened it, all the while thinking it was a watch when i got a bigger shock.

Oh my goodness!!

It was so beautiful and I know it must have cost them a lot to buy it. I was touched when I saw what it was. None of my friends have ever bought that kind of present for me before. It was my first time receiving such gift. Being so excited over it, I asked William to help me to wear it on my wrist. LOL..being a guy, he was blur when he tried to help me 'coz he din know how to hook it. Its a good thing he figured it out or else,i would start laughing at him. =p

The bracelet looks good on my right wrist. I love the design and everything about it. LOL..I found out that it was the same people who signed the card chipped in to get me this lovely gift. Thank you guys! Cant really say how happy I was yesterday. I cant seem to thank you guys enough! =D

Thank you again to all of you who have made my day a great one yesterday, be it from your wishes and comments...Thank you for remembering my birthday. *hugs*

A Day Filled with Joy,Fun and Memories

I sat down waiting for Thermo class to begin. Naresh came and talked to me and i asked him a question. He answered. Then, Andrew came and sat beside me. With a whisper he said "Happy Birthday!" i stared at him. I replied "Huh? I'm still 19." He was confused and Naresh started asking him whether it was my birthday. They even pestered me to tell them when when i refused to.

In Linear class, my friends were acting weird. Kelveen, who was sitting on my left was busy sms-ing. The irritating sound of the keypad caught my attention and i looked sideways to him. He was typing into Eng Hong's phone and then passed it back to him. Err....what the? I turned my attention back to the whiteboard. Pn Yuzainee was explaining something on the board. Then,i turned to William, who was on my right and asked "Is there anything special going on today?"

He considered for a while before replying, "Wednesday...Wednesday...no."

I accepted his reply but i was having suspicious feelings at that time. Then, Kelveen suddenly said "Jo, go out for lunch later?"

I considered, thinking whether I have anything to do during lunch hour and I said " Yea,sure."

After Linear class ended, I saw Adrian, Eng Hong, Kelveen and William at the back of the theatre talking to Naresh, Yap and Rey. I was still at my seat, sms-ing a girl who was having my assignment. I joined them and together we went out to wait at the foyer. That time I seriously have no idea why we were waiting. Priya smsed and told me that she wont be going for lunch with us. Seriously, what the hell is going on? Suddenly Priya was dragged into the picture. LOL.

We finally decided to go. Two cars were going - Andrew's and Yap's. I decided to follow Yap with Naresh and Rey. I was told to sit in the front as i am the "birthday girl". haha..that time I think I confirmed my suspicions, but still I couldnt be sure. We were behind Andrew's car and Yap was complaining bout the speed Andrew was driving in front. We turned down the road to Alamanda and that time I thought we were going down to Sri Serdang to have sesame chicken.lol...why are we going down to Alamanda?

I sat and waited, waited to see what will happen. We parked, got down and went to Pizza Hut. All of them were seriously acting weird. We walked in to Pizza Hut and asked for a table of nine. I sat in the middle and I couldnt stop talking to Rey about the latest episode of Code Geass. We ordered our pizza and Eng Hong and Kelveen were nowhere to be seen. The others said they went to the toilet.

Our drinks, soups, breadsticks and pizzas arrived. Time to dig in! As usual, the cheese powder was used to the max by two cheese-powder-lovers, Eng Hong and Rey. I slowly enjoyed my pizza. The 1st one was Hawaiian Tuna and the second slice was something with the word "Supreme" at the back. Cant remember what the flavour was. Before i knew it, all the pizzas were gone. LOL...I din mind 'coz i was feeling a bit full by that time.

As I was enjoying my drink and talking to Rey and gang, suddenly I saw the waiter bringing two slices of cakes with 2 candles on top. I froze,my straw was frozen in my mouth. Needless to say,i was stunned, real surprised. Before i knew what was happening, the others started singing the birthday song. It got louder by the minute and I was sort of embarassed because there were other customers around too. *blush* After that I made a wish and tried blowing out the candles 2-3 times, simply because they wouldnt go off. LOL...I was handed a knife to cut the cake and I thought of sharing the two slices with the rest 'coz I simply did not think I could finish them! The others refused and I had to eat them by myself. There was some waffles with an ice-cream at the top which the others helped me to eat, thankfully. =D

Cheese cake with chocolate one piece and another piece with cheese cake and coffee were simply too much to eat. I had to eat slowly in order to fit them into my stomach! haha...They were nice. Simply loved the one with coffee. ^^ The cakes were from Secret Recipe by the way. =D

After they paid the bill [I told Eng Hong to include my share] i was sitting there, unable to move after finishing the two slices of cake. Eng Hong was standing behind Rey's chair when suddenly Rey said something like " This is something given by your beloved Banshee." Err...right. He passed me a white envelope and it was written:

The front cover of the card. So nice! ^^

Comments and wishes from the guys

Hehe...I opened the envelope and started reading the comments and wishes by my friends - William, Andrew, Chew, Eng Hong, Priya, Naresh, Adrian, Rey, Kelveen and Yap. Really had a good time laughing over what they wrote especially Yap's [ as usual he said all those things in his "vocabulary"] , Chew's [ Say No to tuna pizza !] and Rey's *ahem* Geass of commanding me to have fun. LOL...

Today ended with a high note with badminton. Whee...we booked only one court for two hours but since there were no one around [bulan puasa ma] we played two courts. Alex joined us this time. ^^ Had a great fun, laughed non-stop over silly stuff esp Kelveen's miracle block of my smash [His racquet was just there T.T] . We should do this more often guys! XD

I did not know how but somehow people i know started thinking that today is my birthday. haha...i had a great time telling them that I was still 19 till tmr. XD Thanks to Boon Heng, Aaron, Iyngrran and Shankar for their wishes. ^^

As for the guys who took me to Pizza Hut today, I would like to say a very big Thank You to all of you for making my day. Even though it was a day earlier, but I still had a great time. Hugs and kisses to all of u. =D

As the minutes and seconds tick by, I am stepping into the World of Twenties. So,erm, should i enter with high spirits? LOL

Bad news

Last night, while i was sleeping and waking up to study for Moral midterm test, an sms entered my phone. i was half conscious when it came and i groggily read the msg. Then i continued sleeping till i finally woke up at 2 smth. Remembering i had an sms earlier, i read the contents again. It was from Anita and it says :
Remember farah fatin, our primary sch mate? she's not feeling well.she has some rare skin disease that docs are not sure about. there are boils all over her body. eating, drinking and any body contact is painful. please pray for her! she's in KL to seek treatment. tq
I stared at the message, dumbfounded. Of coz i still remember Farah. How could i forget her, the one who sat next to me in Year 4, the one who went off to MRSM during secondary sch? I havent seen her for years! And now to be slapped in the face with this piece of news is just too...shocking!! I feel sad for her. Someone of my age is suffering from this illness that doctors are not sure of. Tell me, how do you want me to feel? T.T

Yes, i will pray for her, pray that the doctors will find a way to cure her so that she can get back living a normal life.

Disconnected

I suddenly realised how much i missed Lindsay Lohan's 1st album (2004). One of the songs that got me hooked on again is Disconnected. Nice song, can relate to a lot of things. Listen to it if you wanna try her out. Here are the lyrics:

Lindsay Lohan - Disconnected

Sleeping awake and awake when i'm sleeping
I've got a dry kind of thirst when drenched
On sunny days all i can see is the shadow
And i'm not above being under
And i'm at the brink though i know that i'm empty
And i always hide when its my turn to seek
My only believe is not to have faith in believing
Before i begin i'm over

Chorus
(Disconnected)
Broken off again
And i'm not the lonely when i'm lonely by myself
(Disconnected)
Numb in the pain again, I always back track forward
Coz all in all i'm disconnected

Quietly loud while i'm noisily silent
Keep holding my breath when i'm trying to breathe
Swimming against all of my waves and the rapids
I only win when i'm losing

Repeat Chorus

I just wanna live my life sedated
Coz i love driving myself away
Disfunctionally sane dont give a damn
I cant comprehend what i understand
Disconnected

Numb in the pain again, I always back track forward
Coz all in all i'm disconnected
Broken off again
And i'm not lonely when i'm lonely by myself
Numb in the pain again, I always back track forward
Coz all in all i'm disconnected

Truth

As i sit here, wondering, thinking, why things turned out the way it did. I seriously dunno. How could things have gone so wrong? How could i have been so careless? Did i do something wrong indirectly and it leads to the situation i am in right now?

This would be the longest night i have to endure. i doubt i would be able to get any sleep tonight. The fact of knowing the real truth tomorrow looms ahead. The idea of facing the truth is just too horrifying and i feel small.

That means i have to be mentally prepared for all the worst case scenarios that could happen.

Even so,i found a true friend tonight. Someone who's willing to help and doesnt really mind doing so. Someone's who's there for me when i am desperate,at a dead end, with nowhere to turn to. Someone who listens and offers possible solutions. Someone who tried cheering me up with kind words and encouragement. Thanks and i really appreciate it a lot! ^^

Crush

This is the new single from the runner-up of American Idol...David Archuleta!! :D

David Archuleta- Crush

I hung up the phone tonight
Something happened for the first time
Deep inside..
It was a rush, what a rush
Cause the possibility that you ever feel the same way bout me
Its just too much, just too much

Why do i keep running from the truth
All i ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And i just got to know..

[Chorus]
Do you ever think when you are all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go
Am i crazy or falling in love
Is it real or just another crush
Do you catch a breath when i look at you
Are you holding back, like the way i do
Coz i try and try to walk away
But i know this crush aint going away, going away

Has it ever crossed your mind
When we're hanging spending time girl
Are we just friends
Is there more, is there more
See its a chance we gotta take
Cause i believe that we can make this into something that will last
Last forever, forever

Repeat Chorus

Why do i keep running from the truth
All i ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And i just got to know..

D0 you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go
Am i crazy or falling in love
Is it real or just another crush
Do you catch a breath when i look at you
Are you holding back, like the way i do
Coz i try and try to walk away
But i know this crush aint going away (x5)

Fairytales

Fairytales. We read and hear all about them when we were little - Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and etc etc. Our parents bought the books for us and i'm sure some of us are still keeping them, chucked somewhere in the cupboard. These stories have a similar ending - "And they all live happily ever after". Wow..such wonderful endings that gives us a sense of joy and happiness after we finish reading them. Its a no wonder that every children [including me] dream of finding their Prince Charming and having a "happily ever after" later in their lives.

Apart from books, the movies shown on TV also portray similar endings. I watched Barbie,The Island Princess yesterday. Yes, I am watching kids shows now. lol..i have always been fascinated by Barbie's hair..so nice and silky and straight. Even when i am in the supermarket,if i ever come across the toys section,I would look at Barbie and admire her hair. Haha.. a weird hobby i have right? Anyway, we are way off topic here. Back to the original topic. As i was saying, the plot of the story is predictable. A princess found her Prince Charming but they could not be together due to some unforseen [predictable] circumstances, throw in a villian or two [in this case, an evil Queen is involved] to make the plot more exciting and towards the climax, the villian was found, and all obstacles are clear and then the scene where "they live happily ever after".

Yes, I do get a nice feeling after watching the movie. Then i thought, sometimes we do need some fairytales in our lives to remind us that life could change for the good. No matter how tough the road is, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Even though we do not see the solutions to our problems right now, when the time comes where we have to face them square in the face, we shall know what to do. The solution is just there in front of us. I guess we all just have to believe that we could also live a fairytale life if we try hard enough. Who knows right? *shrugs*

A Trip Down Memory Lane

As i sat there at my study table, unable to fathom or figure out the solution to a question, where i stared at the paper and the paper stared back at me,and the sinking feeling in my stomach that time is running out, i opened the top drawer and peered inside. A lot of stuff. Ok..lets see what 'junk' i have in there....

~ Drama script in Form 2 where i play the Stepmother in the modern version of Cinderella. pretty hilarious as i read back and i could still remember the preparations [going over to Madeleine's house a few nights] and how i acted on that day,all the scenes and expressions. Too bad that i couldnt remember who my stepdaughters though. I have some ideas [one of them might be Juliana] but i couldnt be sure. hmm....certainly brings back a lot of memories. I could not remember who won the competition. Its either my class or the 2nd class. Anyone remembered? LOL

~ Yellowing papers ranging from folscap papers, testpads, all the sample test papers, exam papers and answer scripts...i din realise i am still keeping them!!

~ I found Center Stage..an English magazine published by the seniors in Form 5. Too bad when it came to our year, the magazine my friends did was banned [due to some inappropriate words used] and shredded to pieces using my then-principal,Miss Helen's paper shredder. =.=lll

~ A story which i wrote for, hmm, 5-6 sheets of A4 papers. started a few months after SPM before entering UNITEN and still remain unfinished. i was laughing myself out as i read back, and marveling at how i managed to come up with a story like that and actually wrote it out. *shakes head* Maybe i should start thinking of plots and start writing stories again. I continued a little from where i stopped, totally ignoring the fact that time is running out. =.='

~ Choral Speaking script back in Form 5 where we competed in the district level and lost to SGI in their own school grounds. only managed to get runner-up. *urgh* the experience was amazing though.

~ The script for my speech on Miss Leow's retirement day back in 2004. Wonder how she's doing and where she is now. She's certainly one of the best Chemistry teacher to have around. ^^

Such things do bring back sweet memories. =D

Patsy: All Grown Up!

As soon as i entered my dad's car after reaching Taiping on Saturday afternoon, i saw something black in the car.

Guess who this is?

This is...............

Haha..yea,you guessed it! its my lil pup who has grown sooo much after not seeing her for 6 weeks!! It was a bit sad that she was a bit scared at me at first. Maybe because she couldnt recognise me. :( But as soon as we reached home, she warmed up to me instantly - rolling around, biting and playing. =D

She's still as naughty as ever, only that she bullies her own Dad as well. tsk tsk.. All i know is,having Patsy in the family has changed some of us. My Mum in particular. She isnt really fond of dogs but ever since Patsy was born, she loves her to bits simply because Patsy's cute. Well,of course she's cute; she's a pup! =D

me and the pup. Can u spot her? =p
