Walk the Talk

It's funny how some people don't walk the talk. For example, someone tells you firmly, straight in the face :
I'm not going shopping.
And the next thing you know, you see that person in the same shopping complex as you, shopping.

Hoho.. I wonder would that person feel embarassed with what he or she said earlier?

P.S : Cracks me up each time when I think of the scenario. =D

Forked Road

I am standing at a forked road, and I dunno which to choose. I thought I've already made up my mind earlier about it, but somehow, now I am not sure.

One of the roads look fresh, one which I havent walked on before. I would love to walk on it. But for the other road, I have walked on it before. Should I choose it again or should I choose the road that's not taken?

So many things to be taken into consideration to make a decision. I couldnt possibly walk on both roads. I need to choose one.

But the question is : Which one?

Back

Yes.

Back in Taiping.

So fast one week has passed! Gosh! (How the time just flew...)

Managed to meet up with some friends before they left to do their own stuff. (Yay!)

And more to come. (Double yay!)

Indulging in chocs, ice-cream, some other fattening stuff, followed by daily exercise of course. (If not, how to burn off those extra pounds? *gasp*)

The 1st word

...........you spoke to me got me pissed and the reason you gave for saying that made me even angrier.

Yet, you still ask me a question, which I did not answer in the end.

At the Corner

She drew her knees up to her body and rested her head on top of them.

Staring at the wall, her mind wandered.

Staring at an insect crawling on the wall.

She closed her eyes.

Sighed.

No one close to her was still awake. She could hardly fall asleep early these days.

Is it insomnia or just plain caffeine doing its job? She laughed to herself.

She got up and decided to give it one more try!

The Mask

Wow. I ran out of ideas on what to write here. Each time I see my blog, I ask myself this question:
What to write?
I wanted to write something which does not sound too whiny, too complaining, too depressing, too emo-ish. I want to tell my problems but I am afraid of people knowing. I want to share with people but I do not know what to share.

Hence, I did not update my blog for a long time.

For now, I will try to write something. Lets see..*thinking*

*snaps fingers*

Got it. Ever watch the movie - The Mask - starring Jim Carrey? You know, the one with a green face? Now, ever since he put on that mask, he became a different person.

Lets ask ourselves this question : Does each of us have a mask that we put on everyday while going through our daily routine? You would be lying if you say you dont, because sometimes we need that mask.

Why?

Each of us have our own weaknesses and its in our nature to hide those weaknesses in order not to let others know. We are afraid of how people might see us, and therefore we try to hide our true selves.

We appear to be happy while deep down we are hurt. We appear to be strong, even though we are weak inside. We appear to know everything, but actually we do not know anything at all. We appear to be on good terms with people around us, but we actually don't.

Because of insecurities, we put on masks and we pretend to be someone other than ourselves. We think that as long as people do not know who we really are, we are safe. We do not have to care how people judge us and say about us, coz we know we appear to be good most of the time.

But what happens when the mask has been revealed? Can we honestly admit what our true selves really are? Are we willing to share with people our weaknesses and our insecurities? Or are we just gonna pretend to be a different person for the rest of our lives?

That is something to think about. I, for one, admit that I had a mask before this, that I put on. But then as time goes by and I got close with a group of friends, I began to drop that mask and just be who I am.

Some people think I am easy to predict coz I am transparent, but being too transparent scares me sometimes, because other people see right through me and they seem to know me better than I know myself!

Now that scares me. :-S
