Perfect?

We all make mistakes. It takes a lot of courage to own up for whatever we did to someone even though we are aware of the consequences. We lie to cover up our tracks, hoping that the person concerned will not know. During the process, we come up with more lies in order to cover for the lies that we told, but at some point, we do get tired of trying to think of lies to tell to hide what we did. The thing is, the truth surfaces at one point, and at that time, we do not have a choice but to 'fess up, even though it hurts the other person and risking everything including our friendship with that person.

Nobody is perfect. We all have our own flaws. Whenever we find that someone does something wrong to us and that person owns up and apologizes, some of us may find it hard to forgive that person. We feel our anger seeping through our veins, controlling our mind and then, we say things that we do not wish to say - harsh and horrible words start coming out of our mouths before we realize it. After a while, we cool down and start to think things over. We consider whether that person is deemed to be worthy of forgiveness. We consider the seriousness of the person's mistake. All these factors will help us to decide whether to forgive him/her. We have to bear in mind that all of us make mistakes and including that person. Hence, if the mistake is not that serious, we should give a chance to the person to change and to become a better person. In other words, we forgive the person and put in an advice or two to help he/she to become a better person and also a better friend.

Forgive and forget. Do not hold grudges against people. Its tiring! LOL

E2 Test

After days and nights of studying, preparing, sleeping and waking up, having weird dreams during the night before the test, it was finally time to face, what I could say, the crappiest test I ever faced!

First of all, why would I say the test is crappy? When our lecturer, Encik Abu Bakar told us that there would be 15 questions in the test, all of us were stunned. Total silence, as though an angel had passed by. I was about to vomit blood when I heard him said that. LOL...He continued, saying that we need to choose to do 2 questions out of 3. Basically, we have to choose to do questions on 2 chapters, with each chapter having 5 questions. So in total, we have to answer 10 questions, which is equivalent to 10 marks each and IF we were to answer more than 10 questions, we will be PENALISED!

Yesterday was the test and boy, he did remind us that marks will be DEDUCTED if we answer more than 2 questions. =.=''' What made me felt so dishearten bout the whole test was my lecturer wasnt being strict at all during the entire test. You see, we had our test in one of the big lecture rooms and since there were many of us, we had to sit side by side. Yeah, increase the chance of copying for some people. [Geez!] Even though there were some students DISCUSSING behind me, he din take any action at all. Soon, the noise began to get slightly a bit louder and yet he did not warn us about the consequences of cheating. WTF? To my left, two girls were discussing how to do. So tell me, what is the meaning of the test if people start asking around how to do, or rather they just look at their neighbours' solutions and just copy? *shakes head*

Sometimes I wonder, what do we actually gain from copying other people. Ok fine, you copy during test [like yesterday] and bloody hell, you cant do that in the final exam. So no matter what, its all up to you to solve the questions during the final exams. On your own! So why not study and prepare for the test? That way you will know where your strength and weaknesses. At least you know you have achieved something through your hard work and not by some dirty method, like copying. It disgusts me when I see people do that. Read my lips : It. Disgusts. Me.

To me, there's no point in copying. Its either I know or I do not know the answer. To me, people who copy are those who have low self-confidence. To me, people who copy are those who want the easy way out.

Some people can really be DESPERATE sometimes.

Desperados. Geez!

P.s : If anyone of you who are reading this feel insulted, I'm not sorry. Hah!

Uneasiness

What is this feeling i have been having since yesterday? The sense of uneasiness, the sense of fear. Is something bad gonna happen? I must be crazy thinking i could predict the future. But still, its nerve-wrecking having that kind of feeling.

Maybe its the upcoming test that is the cause of all this. Maybe, just maybe. It might be other stuff that are causing it.

Wish I could shake it off. Convince myself that I am just thinking too much.

Animes

Code Geass

With Code Geass : Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 done, the next most anticipated anime is Gundam00. After watching the 1st episode of season 2 which totally blew me away, it leaves me waiting in suspense and craving for the next episode to be released.

At first, i wasnt that interested in watching the Gundam series. I thought that its all about fighting with mobile suits and declaring war. That was then when my bro asked me to watch Gundam00 and he let me judge how good it was. Needless to say, i soon got hooked when i finished the 1st season of Gundam00. I then proceeded into watching Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny, which are the older series of Gundam. The plots amazed me and I soon find out that its not all about fighting after all! ^^

Tears

I am easily moved to tears. Whenever I am watching a sad movie, scenes where the characters died, listening to the song inserted with it that sounded so sad, or even sometimes watching the characters on-screen in tears, the tears would start without me realizing.

It's always sad to see the characters whom you love [especially the good-looking ones =p] from the beginning of the show died somewhere along the series. It's beyond our expectations. Then we start asking ourselves : Why oh why does it happen to him/her?

*staring into space* Guess its just me.

Article

I was reading through The Star newspaper one day when i came across this article. Beautifully written.

WEDDING vows, especially that part about ‘Til Death Do Us Part, are serious vows of devotion we make to the person we want to spend the rest of our lives with.

At first glance, it looks like we are exchanging words of undying love but upon further examination, we might see that it carries a lot more significance than that.

We are pledging our love and loyalty not only to our spouses but also to the in-laws and even favourite restaurants and holiday destinations.

Many would say that when we marry our soul mates, we marry their entire family; along with their likes and dislikes, habits and preferences and thoughts and opinions.

Choosing a life partner is not as easy as it sounds. It is little wonder that some couples try to delay making the final commitment, preferring to instead date for long periods of time.

The idea of taking on such a huge responsibility can seem terribly daunting and we could be simply better off co-habiting and producing offspring without ever putting pen to paper a la Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Previously, marriage was almost compulsory in many cultures. If a girl was not betrothed by the age of 25, she would be deemed highly unfavourable. Most men, however, are eligible at any age as long as they can provide for a family.

It may seem like a double-standard today but it was the norm when our grandparents were children.

As we entered the 21st century, it became more socially acceptable to choose to never marry. Some couples think it unnecessary to tie the knot as a piece of paper makes little difference to their love and commitment to each other.

However, no matter how open-minded we like to think we are, there is still pressure to set a wedding date if a couple has been going out for many years or if age is catching up.

When I was a teenager, the questions at family gatherings were “So how is school?” Once I graduated they became “How is work going?” followed by “Where is your boyfriend?” or “Are you dating anyone?”

When we were young, we are mostly judged or measured by the grades we received in school. As we enter the workforce, our salaries and positions are details that impress.

Strangely enough, as we grow older, our grades in school or the money we rake in pale in comparison to the all-consuming matter of marriage.

“So, when are you getting married?” is one of the most common questions one will receive between the ages of 25 and 40.

In the Chinese culture, many parents’ greatest fear is that their sons or daughters never meet the love of their life, choose never to settle down or, if they do, marry someone highly unsuitable.

There is still pressure to marry and to marry well. If we have met the “right” person, then the pressure will be more of a pleasure. If we haven’t, well, we have to think up a list of good, witty answers to field off the barrage of questions.

Unfortunately it gets worse, as meeting the person of our dreams will fast turn into a nightmare if we don’t get along with the family.

Many would claim that finding the person of their dreams is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Add the in-laws into the equation and it sounds like a near impossible feat.

How is it then that we see so many couples contentedly married and going on holidays with their in-laws?

A friend said the secret was to let her mother-in-law do what she pleased.

“After she leaves, I would just put things back the way they were and go back to cooking the food that I prefer to eat. It is much easier than fighting with her about everything and losing more than just the argument.” she said.

I am not married, yet I think that as anyone who has had a relationship would know that a good relationship with our partner is more than just luck and chemistry. Similarly, a close bond with our in-laws must be constantly cultivated over time.

We may want many things in life to secure our happiness, but really, all we need is love, fresh air and understanding in-laws.
